FACT - in 1893, the last remaining monarchy of Hawai'i, Queen Lili'uokalani issued a proclamation that "yielded authority to avoid bloodshed" at the time in which an illegal overthrow of her reign was being committed... FACT - in 1993 an apology was signed by then President Bill Clinton, acknowledging the tremendous wrong doing that was done to the Hawaiian people; 100 years after the crime. FACT - many native animals, plants and species that are indigenous to Hawai'i are extinct or on the verge of extinction. FACT - in recent years, the drug known as "ice" has created an epidemic in what is still a natural garden of eden with a devilish grip on it's beauty. FACT - although many Hawaiians have given in, some still oppose the biggest form of commerce in hawai'i... tourism and it's western sidekick; real estate and land ownership, the 2 go hand in hand.
